Website Committee

The Website Committee is responsible for the upkeep and development of the Riverside Youth Council website. The RYC website highlights member and committee bios, the goals of the youth council, and details both current and past projects.  The site also features a current calendar of events, a listing of places to go and things to do in the city, a write in page for youth concerns and suggestions, issue focused surveys relevant to youth, job training and placement opportunities, internships, college and trade school information, international service opportunities and semester abroad programs, community service organizations, mentoring and volunteer programs, and much more. A major goal for the website is to provide areas for user interactivity and to increase user traffic. The RYC site hopes to become a useful destination for Riverside youth.

Public Access Production Committee

The Public Access Production Committee is tasked with producing 30 minute informational programs that will air on Charter Communications’ public access channel. The committee will use the Charter Communications studio facilities to create enlightening and entertaining programs that highlight areas of interest to Riverside youth. Each episode of "Teen Scene Riverside" will feature a panel of experts and a studio audience. There will also be special field reports by committee members included in the show. In February, the committee will air “The 25 Most Remarkable Teens in Riverside,” a program that will award Riverside teens who have had remarkable results or experiences in one of the 25 different categories. Overall, this year’s Public Access Production Committee hopes to create interesting television programs that will benefit young individuals and their communities in the city of Riverside.

Press Enterprise Journalism Project Committee

This group will be involved with Press Enterprise, working with other students and adults to fulfill various missions. They will be diligent and thorough when collecting information on the accomplishments and acknowledgements of high schools. They will write for the TeenPage and interview various students to reveal unusual, exciting, and special things that happen in schools everyday. Their goal is to show Riverside citizens what high school is really about. They would like to display the creativity, emotions and responsibilities of young life. Having the opportunity to upload videos and blogs on the Press Enterprise website, the films will be viewed by a wider audience and contain 'fun facts' and unique information about the RUSD high schools from a student perspective.
