Festa Italiana 2007
The fourth annual Festa Italiana on October 22 was another great event hosted by the city of Riverside. With food by the vendors, lively entertainment, and plenty of activities to choose from, the Festa Italiana was able to provide its guests with top notch quality.
Councilman Dom Vito hosted the Festa Italiana in honor of the first Italians in Riverside that initiated the wine and brewery in our city, the hard work by these people, and so much culture that they were able to give to the city of Riverside. The event being open to all people, gave a glimpse of the beautiful diversity our community has to offer.
The food was exceptionally good thanks to the food vendors. With choices from the traditional pizza, spaghetti and meatballs, to seafood cocktails and gelatos there was also great entertainment by the live singers. Polka dancing, Italian music, and even some orchestra and instrumental, there seemed to be a little of everything for all the guests that attended.
The Riverside Youth Council played a major role in presenting activities for children of all ages. The Children’s Arts and Crafts, Bakery, Planting, taking a picture in a Gondola, stomping grapes were just a few of several of them.
