Multicultural Youth Festival

The third annual Riverside Multicultural Youth Festival is a project of the Riverside Youth Council. Scheduled during National Youth Service Week, the festival supports both cultural diversity and a young person’s responsibility to actively participate in and promote community service.
The 3rd Annual Multicultural Youth Festival will take place on the Downtown Mall from City Hall to the Mission Inn, on Sunday, April 29, 2007 from 10: 00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Youth from 14 to 24 years of age host booths representing nations and regions from around the world. Each booth is designed to share the uniqueness of the nation and culture it represents through customs, traditional costumes, art, music, crafts, games and educational literature. An ethnic food court will provide international cuisine.
The festival offers an extensive array of attractions and exhibits that focus on the similarities among today's youth while at the same time celebrating their diversity. Admission is free and open to the public. Over 12,000 people attended last year's event.
